Donor Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Donor Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all donations made to Silent Shout, a UK-registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). By making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use of Donations

All donations received will be used to support Silent Shout’s mission of providing anonymous, stigma-free support for men’s mental health. Funds may be used for, but are not limited to:

  • Technology development and maintenance (e.g., WhatsApp platform)
  • Professional mental health support escalation services
  • Social media advocacy and awareness campaigns
  • Operational costs such as website hosting, virtual office, and administration

3. Donations Are Non-Refundable

All donations are considered final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Please ensure you are certain of your decision before confirming any donation.

4. Donation Methods

We accept donations via the GiveWP platform, using secure payment gateways including credit/debit card and other options as available. We do not store your financial information.

5. Donation Acknowledgements

You will receive an email confirmation of your donation. If you require a formal receipt or documentation for tax purposes, please contact us at hello@silentshout.org.

6. Tax and Legal Responsibility

Silent Shout is in the process of applying for UK charitable tax status. At present, donations are not eligible for Gift Aid or tax deductions. We will update donors once tax-exempt status is approved.

7. Donor Data and Privacy

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information.

8. Currency and Fees

Donations can be made in multiple currencies. Please note that international transactions may be subject to exchange rate variations and processing fees, which are outside Silent Shout’s control.

9. Donor Recognition

All donors will remain anonymous unless explicit consent is given for recognition. Silent Shout respects the confidentiality of all supporters.

10. Changes to These Terms

Silent Shout reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date.
